Adele premieres new video at Billboard Music Awards with 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)'
Adele premiered her hypnotic "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" video from '25' single during Billboard Music Awards.
At the Billboard Music Awards tonight, Adele premiered her new video for her latest “25″ single, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).”
The 28-year-old pop star released the song as her third single in December from her eagerly anticipated and stunning third studio album, 25. Adele is nominated for eight awards at Sunday's music awards show, but she was unable to attend last night's ceremony, as she is currently in the middle of a European tour, and performed this Saturday and Sunday night at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portual.
"Send My Love (To Your New Lover) was shot in London and directed by Patrick Daughters, an American music video director whose credits include the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse and Depeche Mode. In her new, minimalist video, the singer appears alone on a black background, dancing in a floor-length, floral-pattern dress. Her video featured an almost dizzying effect as images of Adele — dressed in a long-sleeve, floor length floral gown — were layered on top of each other in what looked like multiple takes and angles as she sang. The effect was at once both hypnotic and innovative.
