The late-night show premiered the first trailer for “Assassin’s Creed,” a new film based on the popular Ubisoft video game series.

The film adaptation of the iconic videogame saga "Assassin's Creed" performed by Justin Kurzel unveiled its first trailer with Michael Fassbender in the role of Callum Lynch, who will again play opposite Marion Cotillard (Macbeth).

Fassbender start of the clip, wakes up in a mysterious laboratory to learn from an even more mysterious woman (Marion Cotillard) that he’s been “executed,” and will now enter something called “the Animus.”

Like the game, the main character is found in the skin of his ancestor Aguilar during the Spanish Inquisition thanks to a revolutionary technology revealing the genetic memory. He discovers that he comes from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and gathers the knowledge he will need to face another formidable organization: the Order of the Templars.
